People catching ferries to Ireland for a summer getaway this year may be interested in visiting Castletownshend from July 29th to August 2nd for Maritime Week.
Travellers can catch
ferries from Fishguard to Rosslare with
Stena Line to reach Castletownshend, which is located on Ireland's south coast.
Maritime Week is held to promote the sights and history of the town and provides plenty of entertainment for visitors young and old.
Highlights of the festival will include a talk on local history on the Wednesday night, a classical music concert at St Barrahane's Church the following evening and an official opening parade on the Friday night.
There will also be live music performed on the Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.
Alongside the service from Fishguard to Rosslare,
Stena Line offers
ferries from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire on the east coast of Ireland.
