Catch some F1 action on Belgium ferry holidays | | | | 02 July 2009 | Ferries to Belgium will prove a useful travel option for motorsport fans in August as the country plays host to the 2009 Formula One World Championship.
The 12th race in this year's Formula One season will be held at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in south-east Belgium on August 30th.
People interested in attending the event can catch ferries to Zeebrugge from Hull with P&O Ferries or travel on the Rosyth to Zeebrugge ferry route operated by Norfolkline.
Formula One followers will also be catching ferries to Spain in August to see the Grand Prix of Europe, an exciting street race that will be held in Valencia on August 23rd.
Last year, this race was won by Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, who went on to finish a close second to Lewis Hamilton when the World Championship season reached its conclusion.
Both P&O Ferries and Brittany Ferries provide travel options for people planning to visit Spain, offering regular ferries to Bilbao and Santander respectively.
There is plenty of British interest in Formula One this year as the World Championship is currently being led by Jenson Button, who has picked up 64 points from eight races.
