Catch the ferry to Counting Crows Belfast gig | | | | 08 August 2008 | Music enthusiasts are being urged to book their ferry tickets to Belfast soon after it was announced that Counting Crows will be playing a gig in the city later this year.
The world-famous US rock band, known for songs such as Mr Jones and Big Yellow Taxi, will be heading to the Odyssey Arena on December 21st.
Originally from California, the band will be entertaining the crowds for the pre-Christmas concert which is expected to be a sell-out.
Apparently inspired by Belfast-born Van Morrison, the band received a 2004 Academy Award nomination for the song Accidentally in Love and their most famous album, August and Everything After, sold seven million copies.
Tickets, which go on sale a week today, will cost £35.50 (standing) and £38 (seated).
Those travelling from England will find Belfast is easily accessible by ferry from Liverpool Birkenhead whereas Scottish fans can catch a Stena Line boat from Stranraer. |
