Isle of Wight ferry crossings could prove popular with food lovers over the next two weeks as the island takes part in British Food Fortnight.
The initiative began on September 19th and will continue until October 4th, featuring a number of events and activities to promote local and seasonal food.
People interested in visiting the Isle of Wight to sample its culinary offerings can catch ferries to Fishbourne or Ryde from Portsmouth with
Wightlink.
Highlights of British Food Fortnight on the island will include the Sweetcorn Fayre in Arreton, a week-long event running until September 27th that features live music, a country fairground, a beer festival and more.
People with a passion for good food can also visit some of the Isle of Wight's top eateries during their holiday, such as the Hambrough in Ventnor and the Priory Bay restaurant between Bembridge and Seaview, both of which are run by Michelin-starred chefs.
Wightlink also provides ferries to Yarmouth from Lymington, while
Hovertravel offers regular services from Southsea to Ryde.
