Holidaymakers interested in booking cheap ferries to the Isle of Wight will be looking forward to the 40th anniversary of what is arguably the island's biggest event next year.
The ninth Isle of Wight Festival is taking place between June 10th and 13th at Seaclose Park, which marks four decades since Jimi Hendrix headlined the legendary event in 1970.
Tickets for next year's festival go on sale on Friday (December 4th), with revellers no doubt looking forward to this year's headline acts, Jay-Z and The Strokes.
Pop star Pink will also be entertaining the crowds during a Sunday performance, while Blondie, Orbital and Squeeze will also be in attendance.
The Sunday headliner is yet to be announced, although the suspense will no doubt add to the excitement for festival-goers.
Ferry operator
Wightlink will offer three-day festival passes during the event, while those who sign up to the first 1,000 will receive a special 'early bird' rate.
It is believed that as many as 800,000 people attended the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival, which was considered one of the largest musical events of its kind.
