People with a passion for cars and motorsport will be taking ferries to Rotterdam this month to check out a highly popular event in the city.
The annual Bavaria City Racing day will return to Rotterdam on August 22nd.
A range of special activities and entertainment feature on the programme every year, attracting some 500,000 visitors to the Dutch city.
People setting off from the UK can reach the destination with
P&O, which offers
ferries from Hull to Rotterdam.
Bavaria City Racing will begin with a warm-up session that will invite spectators to watch the preparations for the day's racing.
Highlights of the main show will include displays by the Renault Formula One team and expert drivers such as Tim Coronel, European champion of the Alfa 147 GTA Challenge event in 2004.
The day's events will start on the Willemsbrug bridge and move onto the Coolsingel, Rotterdam's main street.
Holidaymakers heading to The Netherlands this year also have the option of taking
ferries from Harwich to Hook of Holland with
Stena Line or sailing on
DFDS Seaways'
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam.
