There will be some memorable experiences on offer to holidaymakers visiting France this autumn when the Festival Occitania returns to Toulouse and its surrounding towns.
People taking
ferries to France for a getaway this year will be able to see festival performances and events between September 20th and October 23rd.
The extensive programme features more than 1,000 artists from around the world, who will provide entertainment at various venues in 24 towns.
Holidaymakers can begin their break by taking
ferries from Portsmouth to St Malo, Cherbourg or Caen with
Brittany Ferries, while
LD Lines provides
ferries from Portsmouth to Le Havre.
Upon arrival in Toulouse, visitors can find out what is taking place within the city itself and in nearby towns such as Seysses, Saint-Lys, Le Garric and Aiguefonde.
Highlights of the programme will include exhibitions at the Memory Museum in Portet sur Garonne and Maison de la Culture in Venerque, and theatre performances at the Salle des Fetes in Boussens and Theatre du Pave in Toulouse.
Another easy way for travellers to reach France is by taking
ferries from Dover to Dunkerque with
Norfolkline/
DFDS Seaways, while both
P&O and
SeaFrance provide crossings on the
Dover to Calais ferry route.
