Travellers planning Dublin ferry breaks in August will have the opportunity to experience some memorable activities and celebrations during National Heritage Week.
Due to run from August 21st to 29th, the initiative will feature more than 1,000 events celebrating the natural, cultural and built heritage of Ireland.
There will be something going on in every Irish county, with several activities based in the capital.
Both
Stena Line and
Irish Ferries provide access to the city via the Holyhead to Dublin ferry route, while
P&O Irish Sea and
Norfolkline operate
ferries from Liverpool to Dublin.
Highlights of National Heritage Week will include Genealogy at the Guinness Storehouse, which will invite visitors to trace their family tree.
The National Gallery of Ireland will be hosting special tours between August 21st and 29th, while the Royal Irish Academy will present an exhibition of town and city maps.
People interested in seeing what is happening in southern Ireland during National Heritage Week can take
ferries from Fishguard to Rosslare with Stena Line or travel on the Pembroke to Rosslare ferry route with Irish Ferries.
