There will be no shortage of high-octane entertainment on offer to people planning Guernsey ferry breaks this summer, with a series of powerboat races set to take place in the waters around the island.
The Guernsey Powerboat Association has confirmed a number of events over the coming months, including poker runs and basic races.
Competitors taking part in poker runs are required to race around a course and pick up a playing card at a series of checkpoints.
At the end of the race, the team with the best hand wins.
The next event of this kind will take place on July 3rd, followed by ordinary races on July 18th and August 15th.
Visitors will then be able to see a series of poker runs over the bank holiday weekend of August 28th to 30th.
Travellers can reach the island with
Condor Ferries, which operates regular Guernsey ferry services from Portsmouth, Poole and Weymouth.
The company also offers ferries to Jersey and St Malo for holidaymakers who want to continue their tour of the Channel Islands and France.
