People with a passion for theatrical entertainment will be able to catch ferries to Amsterdam in June to attend the International Theatre School (ITS) Festival.
The event sees leading theatre schools from across Holland and Europe head to the Dutch capital to present their newest and most exciting shows.
This year's event, which marks the 20th outing for the festival, will see dance shows, mime performances, comedy, opera and more presented in the centre of Amsterdam from June 19th to 27th.
Amsterdam ferry travellers will be able to head to some of the city's biggest venues to see festival performances, including the Compagnietheater, the Theater Bellevue and De Kleine Komedie.
The 2009 ITS Festival is expected to be just as big as last year's event, which saw more than 60 performances given throughout the city.
Travellers can catch daily
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam with DFDS Seaways or make use of the Harwich to Hook of Holland ferry route operated by Stena Line.
P&O Ferries also provides access to The Netherlands with its Hull to Rotterdam ferry service.
