Circus entertainment on offer in Rotterdam

Fans of circus entertainment may be interested in taking a ferry trip to Rotterdam next month to see a seasonal show that is highly popular with residents and visitors to the city.

The Christmas Circus will come to Rotterdam's Ahoy Theatre from December 18th to 30th, with prices ranging from €18 to €30 (£15 to £24) for adults and from €16 to €27 (£13 to £22) for children.

All of the traditional circus acts will be on show, including clowns, trapeze artists, contortionists, acrobats and jugglers.

Rotterdam is Holland's second largest city by population after Amsterdam and offers a number of attractions for people taking ferry trips to visit, including the Boijmans-van Beuningen museum and the city zoo.

P&O Ferries North Sea offers an overnight crossing from Hull to Rotterdam with a journey time of around ten hours.

Other ferry crossings from the UK to Holland include DFDS Seaways' service from Newcastle to Amsterdam and Stena Line's link between Harwich and Hook of Holland.
