Condor Ferries recently announced that it broke two records on its Jersey ferry services last month.
On Saturday, August 15th, the operator carried more passengers to and from Jersey and completed more sailings from the island over a 24-hour period than ever before.
Condor Ferries completed a total of 20 crossings during the day, carrying some 5,689 passengers and 942 cars.
Over the whole weekend, the operator carried more than 15,000 people and over 2,500 vehicles on its ferries to Jersey from Poole, Weymouth, Guernsey and St Malo.
Simon Esdall, managing director of
Condor Ferries, said: "We are absolutely delighted with the figures and want to thank our staff, the harbour and immigration authorities in Jersey and of course the passengers for their invaluable help and support.
"To move the same number of passengers who travelled with us over the weekend by air would take 119 full 737s so it's extremely impressive."
People planning to visit France can catch ferries to St Malo from Weymouth via Guernsey or Jersey with
Condor Ferries.
