Condor Ferries gets Blue Peter coverage

Condor Ferries will enjoy a profile boost next month when it is featured in an episode of the popular BBC children's programme Blue Peter.

The operator recently welcomed new Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton on one of its ferries from Poole to Guernsey and Jersey.

Ms Skelton took the helm of a Condor Ferries wave-piercing catamaran as part of a feature on the captain's role onboard a modern ferry.

Fran Collins of Condor Ferries said: "Helen did a great job and it was a wonderful opportunity for myself and the rest of the crew to give younger viewers an insight into what life is like on the bridge of a fast ferry."

The new presenter's time onboard Condor Ferries' ship Vitesse will be broadcast on BBC One in June.

In addition to its direct services from Poole to Guernsey and Jersey, the passenger carrier offers ferries from Portsmouth to Cherbourg and Poole to St Malo for travellers heading to northern France.
