Holidaymakers reluctant to leave their furry friends behind when they head to France may be pleased to hear that Condor Ferries is allowing pets to travel for free on its vessels.
The ferry operator is offering the deal for passengers who book their tickets on
ferries to France by phone until March 31st.
The offer is applicable for travel at any time of the year on all
Condor Ferries UK to France routes, including fast ferries from Poole to St Malo and conventional ferries from Portsmouth to Cherbourg.
For families, this means avoiding the extra cost of taking a beloved dog or cat on holiday, or booking their pet into a kennel or cattery should they be forced to leave their animal at home.
All pets must travel in conformity with the Pet Travel Scheme, which allows dogs, cats and ferrets to travel from the UK to other European Union countries and vice versa without quarantine.
Passengers booking through AFerry.co.uk are advised to purchase tickets online as usual before calling the website to arrange travel for their pet.
