Condor Ferries is set to see more demand for its ferry crossings to the Channel Islands this year as it teams up with local eateries to offer day-trips with lunch or dinner included.
Travellers will be able to sail from Weymouth all year round or from Poole during the summer to visit either Guernsey or Jersey and enjoy a meal at restaurants such as Riva and Fridays.
People who would prefer to make their own dining arrangements can book an ordinary trip with
Condor Ferries and reach their destination in a matter of hours.
Justin Amey, marketing manager for the fast ferry operator, said: "People still find it hard to believe they can be in the Channel Islands in as little as two-and-a-quarter hours."
Commenting on the activities on offer to island visitors, he added: "They can explore the spectacular scenery, beautiful beaches, historic harbours, amazing shops and have a great meal all in a single day."
Travellers interested in extending their journey beyond the Channel Islands can sail with
Condor Ferries from Guernsey or Jersey to St Malo in northern France.
