Condor Ferries has confirmed that it will offer an extra crossing on its Jersey to Guernsey ferry route to help travellers get home for Christmas this year.
The special sailing will be operated by the Commodore Clipper on December 23rd.
It has been added in response to an enquiry from a Jersey resident who was disappointed that he would not be able to take a ferry to Guernsey immediately before the Christmas break.
The customer praised
Condor Ferries for its swift response and said it was "great news" that he would now be able to travel to Guernsey on December 23rd.
Simon Edsall, managing director of the ferry company, said: "We welcome feedback from all our customers and strive to act on it when we can.
"The Clipper provides a year-round service in all weathers, making around 300 crossings between Jersey and Guernsey each year. I'm pleased that in this case we are able to add an extra sailing, which will allow friends and families to get together during the season of goodwill."
Travellers can catch ferries to Guernsey from Weymouth, Poole and Portsmouth with
Condor Ferries and also have the option of continuing their journey to France via the company's St Malo ferry route.
