A replacement courtesy bus with up to date facilities for the disabled and those passengers who need some extra assistance, is the latest acquisition to the Company's fleet. The bus will carry passengers from the check in point to the vessels' passenger lift with the minimum of effort.
Additionally, the courtesy bus is fully equipped to accommodate those
passengers who are totally confined to a wheelchair.
Rupert Trevelyan, Steam Packet Director of Marketing said, 'We work closely with the various agencies monitoring facilities for the disabled and those with special needs and this vehicle is superbly fitted out to cater for them all and indeed for some of our elderly passengers who need a little more
help. Both our vessels Ben My Chree and Superseacat Two are fully equipped to meet the needs of disabled passengers and with this new vehicle we can provide the special care and attention that some of our passengers need when travelling'.
The Company also provide a courtesy bus at the ports of Liverpool and Heysham for the benefit of those passengers with special needs.
Disabled passengers and those who need assistance are asked to advise the Company at the time of booking.
