The heavy snowstorms that have swept across southern England and northern France over the past two days are not affecting cross channel ferry services, according to reports.
A spokeswoman for Seafrance, which operates Dover to Calais ferry crossings, told the Telegraph that services across the channel are running as normal.
While Eurostar trains are still running, passengers have reportedly been advised to expect delays of up to an hour as a result of the severe weather.
Cross channel ferries could prove a useful alternative for many travellers as the heavy snow causes severe disruption to other travel networks, particularly flights from southern England and northern France.
Dozens of domestic and European services were cancelled at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport today (February 2nd), while London Heathrow was shut down entirely as runways were covered in heavy snow.
Seafrance is one of a number of operators that offer cross channel ferry services, with others including P&O Ferries, Norfolkline, LD Lines and
Brittany Ferries.
Ferry crossings are available from Dover, Portsmouth, Plymouth and other ports to locations including Calais, Le Havre and St Malo in northern France.
