Those catching ferries from Belfast to Liverpool to enjoy the north-west of England have a wide choice of accommodation if they visit the Lake District.
This has been noted by a spokeswoman for Cumbria Tourism, who said: "Our accommodation is simply the best and offers an opportunity to relax in style and luxury, we have accommodation to suit all tastes."
She listed self-catering, camping, country inns, boutique guest houses, large country houses and luxury establishments as being among the choices visitors can pick from.
All this, the spokeswoman added, helps people enjoy "some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world", noting that this includes the highest mountain and deepest lake in England.
Visitors can actually find one of these overlooks the other in Wasdale, with Scafell Pike (3,210 ft) towering above the 258 ft deep Wast Water.
The valley is also reputed to contain England's smallest church, while 19th century Wasdale Head Inn landlord Will Ritson claimed to be the biggest liar in England.
An annual contest is held at another pub in nearby Santon Bridge to find the biggest liar today - although to give everyone else a chance lawyers and politicians are barred from entering.
