Ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam and from Harwich to Esbjerg will become a more accessible option for travellers this year as a result of discount offers being launched by DFDS Seaways.
The operator announced that it would be offering 25 per cent price cuts on Amsterdam ferry trips for departures on certain days from April 12th.
Visitors to the Dutch capital can head to attractions such as Anne Frank's House and the Oude Kerk, or take a walk alongside one of the city's famous canals.
DFDS Seaways will also be offering discounts of 25 per cent on its ferry crossings from Harwich to Esbjerg this spring, giving travellers the chance to explore a lively Danish coastal town with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and museums.
The route to Esbjerg, which is operated by the ship Dana Sirena, also provides the option of driving across Denmark to sail from Copenhagen to Oslo with DFDS Seaways.
To raise money for Comic Relief, the ferry operator recently inflated a six-metre-wide red nose on the bow of one of its cruise ferries.
