DFDS Seaways is currently offering its Orca wildlife trips on
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam and Harwich to Esbjerg at a 20 per cent discount for selected departures.
The Orca cruises give passengers the chance to spot dolphins, porpoises, seabirds and even whales in the North Sea on their way to Amsterdam or Esbjerg.
Representatives from Orca, a charity committed to the study of marine mammals, will be onboard the DFDS Seaways ferries conducting studies that will invite participation from the public.
The discounts will enable customers to book a wildlife cruise to Amsterdam for as little as £67 per person or sail to Esbjerg for £82.
People who choose the Harwich to Esbjerg ferry trip will also be able to go on a walking tour of the island of Fano, which is a short distance away from the Danish port and is inhabited by animals including migrating birds in the spring.
In addition to its
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam and Harwich to Esbjerg, DFDS Seaways offers an option for people exploring Scandinavia with its Oslo to Copenhagen ferry route.
