DFDS Seaways offers Amsterdam ferry crossings for charity

DFDS Seaways offers Amsterdam ferry crossings for charity
DFDS Seaways has announced that it will be giving away mini-cruises on its Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry route in December for people who donate money to charity.

The company has launched the initiative in support of Children North East to celebrate its 143rd anniversary.

Travellers will be able to sail on the Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry route on December 7th or 8th and can choose to donate £25, £35 or £50 per person to the good cause, with nothing else to be paid.

Passengers will be able to enjoy DFDS Seaways' onboard facilities, including restaurants, shops and a casino, and also see some of the famous sights and attractions of Amsterdam.

John Crummie, the company's UK managing director, said: "We have been running these charity cruises to celebrate our anniversary for three years now and they are very popular with our customers.

"They are an excellent way for people to donate to a local charity that does such worthwhile work within our community, while enjoying a fantastic trip."

People who would like to visit Holland can also use P&O Ferries' Hull to Rotterdam ferry service or take ferries to Hook of Holland from Harwich with Stena Line.
