Passengers on DFDS Seaways' ferry crossings to Amsterdam will be offered a variety of onboard experiences this year as the company launches services with a number of different themes.
In a new addition to its product offering, DFDS Seaways will operate themed mini-cruises throughout the year acknowledging everything from St Patrick's Day to the style of the 1970s.
On March 21st, June 18th and October 10th, comedy-themed ferry trips will be launched from Newcastle, featuring stand-up performers including Phil Butler, John Ryan and Jo Enright.
As in many other destinations around the world, St Patrick's Day will be celebrated on a DFDS Seaways ferry on March 17th with Irish dancing, a U2 tribute band and plenty of Guinness being served at the bar.
April 30th represents Queen's Day in the Netherlands, a national holiday to mark the queen's birthday that sees live music concerts, street parties, outdoor markets and more being held in Amsterdam.
The DFDS Seaways ferry crossing departing from Newcastle on April 29th will feature Queen tribute band the Bohemians and other entertainment for passengers before they arrive in Amsterdam to join in with the celebrations.
Later this year, the operator will launch a 70s cruise, a special trip for Halloween and other themed mini-breaks.
