DFDS Seaways has invited travellers with a soft spot for beer to make use of its Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry route in September to attend a festival dedicated to the popular beverage.
The Brussels Beer Festival will be held in the Grand Place, the Belgian capital's central market square, from September 4th to 7th.
People who catch ferries to Amsterdam from Newcastle with
DFDS Seaways will be able to reach Brussels by driving south through Holland into Belgium.
More than 450 different varieties of beer will be on offer at the festival, representing breweries from around the world, as well as ales, spirits, ciders and various other tipples.
There will also be processions to watch and markets to explore, live music to enjoy and al fresco food to tuck into.
People based in the south of England can catch direct ferries to Belgium on the Ramsgate to Ostend ferry route served by
TransEuropa Ferries.
P&O Ferries operates a Hull to Zeebrugge ferry service, while
Norfolkline provides ferries to Zeebrugge from Rosyth.
