Music fans should take ferries to Denmark this winter to experience one of the country's biggest music events, according to
DFDS Seaways.
The Winter Jazz Festival is a ten-day event that is set to get underway on January 22nd this year.
DFDS Seaways provides access to the Scandinavian country via its Harwich to Esbjerg ferry route, which operates three or four times a week.
During the festival, the whole of Denmark goes "jazz crazy", according to the ferry operator.
Over 200 separate concerts take place in 50 different venues around the country, many of which are found in the capital city of Copenhagen.
In addition to the live shows, visitors can attend jazz-themed events for kids, enter competitions and take part in the other activities and experiences on offer at the Winter Jazz Festival.
People interested in doing some more exploring in Scandinavia can use
DFDS Seaways' Copenhagen to Oslo ferry route.
The company also operates ferries to Amsterdam from Newcastle.
