DFDS Seaways has announced the comedians who will be providing live entertainment on
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam later this year.
The ferry operator's 'comedy cruises' will depart from Newcastle on June 18th and October 10th.
As well as offering entertainment for travellers, the special ferry crossings will raise money for charity, with £5 donated to Comic Relief for every booking made.
The line-up of confirmed comedians includes Mitch Benn, who was voted best new comic at the Glastonbury festival in 2003, and Dougie Dunlop on the June 18th sailing.
People catching
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam on October 10th will be entertained by the likes of Jo Enright, who was named best female performer on the Jongleurs comedy circuit in 2001.
DFDS Seaways offers daily sailings on its Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry route, with departures from the English port at 17:30.
The carrier also operates ferries from Harwich to Esbjerg in Denmark for travellers planning to explore the Scandinavia region.
