DFDS Seaways ferry crossings could prove a more popular travel option this month as the operator launches a number of special offers as part of National Ferry Fortnight, which will run from May 9th to 22nd.
Taking place for the first time this year, Ferry Fortnight is an initiative organised by the Passenger Shipping Association that aims to encourage travellers to consider the option of a ferry holiday.
DFDS Seaways will participate in the scheme by offering special promotions on its Harwich to Esbjerg and Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry routes.
An offer allowing cars to go free will be available for selected Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry crossings throughout May, June, September and October and on the Harwich to Esbjerg ferry route in June, August, September and October.
The operator also announced two-for-one mini-cruise breaks to Amsterdam and Esbjerg that will allow two people to visit these vibrant European cities for half the usual price.
In addition to its regular
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam and Harwich to Esbjerg, DFDS Seaways will be offering special wildlife cruises this year giving passengers the chance to spot dolphins, porpoises and other marine animals in the North Sea.
