Couples planning a short getaway for Valentine's Day next year will have the opportunity to embark on a mini-cruise on
DFDS Seaways' Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry route.
The company announced that it would be operating a special service departing on February 13th which will provide a memorable experience for loved-up travellers.
Onboard the ferry, passengers will be able to make use of facilities including a restaurant serving three-course meals, cafes and other amenities that are conducive to romance.
When the Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry crossing arrives at its destination, travellers can go for a walk around the city to see sights such as its famous canals and churches or find somewhere to have a quiet meal.
The Dutch capital is also home to a variety of shops and markets where visitors can pick up gifts for their loved ones.
DFDS Seaways operates daily sailings on its Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry route, with departures from the English port at 17:00.
