DFDS Seaways has announced that its range of themed mini-cruises this year will include a special service on its Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry route to celebrate a food festival being held in the English city.
EAT! NewcastleGateshead will run from June 12th to 27th, bringing a variety of culinary events and promotions to north-east England.
To mark the event,
DFDS Seaways will operate an EAT! at sea mini-cruise, which will feature special menus designed by leading chefs Terry Laybourne and Dave Kennedy.
Passengers will also be able to see cooking demonstrations, attend cocktail parties and sample a variety of beers.
Travellers can catch daily ferries to Amsterdam from Newcastle, with departures from the British port at 17:00 local time.
DFDS Seaways will be operating a range of themed mini-cruises this year, including a wildlife-watching trip that will offer the opportunity to see dolphins, seals and other marine creatures.
The company also offers ferries to Esbjerg in Denmark from Harwich.
