Family groups will be catching ferries from Harwich to Esbjerg this summer to visit the largest theme park in Denmark.
Due to open on April 24th, Legoland Billund Resort is a combination of Legoland and Lalandia, two of the most popular amusement parks in the Scandinavian country.
The resort is situated in western Denmark, a short drive from the Esbjerg ferry port, and combines features of both attractions, including Lalandia's Aquadome tropical waterpark and indoor play area.
Lego fans will be able to visit Miniland to see a collection of famous buildings created from more than 20 million bricks before setting off on a safari in a Lego vehicle or exploring the new Pirate Lagoon area.
Other features of western Denmark that ferry travellers can enjoy include its white sandy beaches, Koldinghus castle, the Orion Planetarium and Givskud Zoo.
Ferries from Harwich to Esbjerg are provided by DFDS Seaways, which also offers ferry crossings between Copenhagen and Oslo.
