Discover Normandy on France ferry breaks

Travellers planning to catch ferries to France for a short break over the coming weeks may be interested in visiting an exhibition focusing on the Normandy region.

Destination Normandie - which will be open at the Musee de Normandie in Caen until October 31st - explores how the destination grew into a holiday hotspot over the past century and retains its popularity today.

People interested in seeing the display can catch ferries to Caen from Portsmouth with Brittany Ferries.

A number of topics are explored in the exhibition, including the urbanisation of Normandy's coastline, the geography of the region and the development of the souvenir industry.

After visiting the museum, holidaymakers can embark on a personal exploration of Normandy and see attractions such as Mont Saint Michel, the Bayeux Tapestry and the city of Rouen.
