Liverpool ferry breaks could prove popular among modern art enthusiasts this year, with a major exhibition celebrating Pablo Picasso set to open in the city.
Picasso: Peace and Freedom will open at Tate Liverpool on May 21st and run until August 30th, meaning art fans will have plenty of opportunities to see the show.
People based in Dublin can take direct ferries to Liverpool with
Norfolkline or
P&O Ferries.
Norfolkline also operates a Belfast to Liverpool ferry service.
The exhibition will bring together over 150 works by Picasso from all over the world, offering an insight into his life as a political activist and campaigner for peace.
It will be the first major exhibition to offer a thorough exploration of the artist's life and work during the post-war period.
Visitors will be able to learn about how Picasso's work transcended the friction that emerged between east and west during the Cold War era.
People based on the Isle of Man can take ferries to Liverpool from Douglas with the Steam Packet Company.
