Travellers taking ferries to Spain this year will be able to explore the country's north-west region, which has been described as ideal for a quiet getaway.
Ignacio Vasallo, UK and Europe director of the Spanish Tourism Office, said this part of the country is yet to be fully discovered by British visitors.
Those interested in seeing the region can take ferries to Santander, which are available from Portsmouth and Plymouth with
Brittany Ferries.
Mr Vasallo said: "The north-west region still seems to be a well-guarded secret amongst those in the know: Galicia, Asturias, and Castile in particular. Galicia's fjords and rugged landscape is a huge attraction for visitors and the local fish is phenomenal."
The spokesman also highlighted the diversity of the region, with active travellers able to go hiking or caving in the Cantabrian mountains and beach lovers offered a number of coastal hotspots to choose from.
Another travel option for people interested in visiting northern Spain is the Portsmouth to Bilbao ferry service provided by P&O Ferries.
