Modern art enthusiasts will be taking ferries to France later this year to experience a special event in Rennes.
The city's biennial celebration of contemporary art, which is known locally as Les Ateliers de Rennes, will run from April 30th to July 18th this year.
It will see a variety of exhibitions and events held at various venues in Rennes.
Travellers can reach the city by taking ferries to St Malo, its nearest port, from Portsmouth with
Brittany Ferries, which also operates Caen, Roscoff and Cherbourg ferry services from the UK.
Artists from all over the world travel to north-west France to participate in the event, showcasing new work at galleries and also arranging installations and displays in outdoor locations.
Venues set to take part in the programme this year include the Musee des Beaux Arts, Le Triangle and Le Grand Cordel.
Condor Ferries also provides access to France with its St Malo ferry services from Portsmouth, Poole and Weymouth, while
LD Lines operates ferries to Le Havre from Portsmouth.
