Passengers and experts managed to spot dolphins on all of
DFDS Seaways' wildlife-themed mini-cruises in June, the ferry operator has revealed.
The company is working with the Orca whale and dolphin charity to provide the special services from Newcastle to Amsterdam, which will be available on selected dates until mid-September.
During their journey, passengers can look out for minke whales, harbour porpoises, gannets, dolphins and a variety of seabirds.
Experts from Orca also give presentations and lead deck watches to give travellers a good chance of spotting marine animals.
DFDS Seaways operates daily
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam, which depart the UK port at 17:00.
The company will be offering a series of special mini-cruises to the Dutch capital this year, based on themes ranging from Halloween to school discos.
Travellers can also take ferries from Harwich to Esbjerg with DFDS Seaways if they are interested in visiting Denmark and other parts of northern Europe.
