Dublin Port remains busy as ever | | | | 19 August 2008 | Figures have shown that last year was the busiest in history for Dublin Port with record numbers of passengers flocking to the city.
The Dublin Port Company says that the number of people travelling to the Irish capital by ferry jumped 12 per cent in 2007 to 1.4 million.
It expects figures to remain high over the next year as tourists continue to enjoy the numerous attractions on offer in the city.

He added: "We carried 1.4 million ferry passengers last year after a very successful ferry marketing campaign. This year, we expect to have 80 cruise line visits, bringing 60,000 high spend customers into Dublin."
Popular attractions in Dublin include the famous Temple Bar, Dublin Castle and the attractive St Steven's Green at the top of Grafton Street. |
