Eckero Line joins Travel Gateway

People booking ferry trips via Travel Gateway can access deals on offer from a new provider - Eckero Line.

The firm offers services running between the Finnish capital Helsinki and Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.

These Baltic Sea services enable people to enjoy both the beauty of Scandinavia and the fascinating culture of the Baltic states, which have reasserted their independence since the break-up of the Soviet Union in the early 1990s.

Crossings take a little over three hours, with two a day setting off from Helsinki and up to seven from Tallinn.

Return journey prices start at just £34 for foot passengers and £94 for a car and two people, or £182 for a car and four people.

One great reason to visit Tallinn is the Unesco World Heritage status of its historic Old Town, which grew up in medieval times as an important trading centre, with the city being part of the Hanseatic League.
