Guernsey ferry breaks could prove a popular option among music fans in September, with a much-loved performer set to visit the island.
Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra will hit the stage at Sir John Loveridge Hall in Beau Sejour on September 15th and 16th.
Travellers can take ferries to Guernsey from Poole, Weymouth or Portsmouth with
Condor Ferries to see one of the gigs.
Holland, who is well known for his live music television show on the BBC and his annual Hootenanny New Year's Eve party, will be joined by special guests including Marc Almond of Soft Cell fame and guest vocalists Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall.
There will be plenty of events and festivals on offer to people visiting Guernsey this year, including the Summer Seafood season, which will promote local cuisine and delicacies at dining establishments across the island until August 31st.
Visitors will be treated to an impressive sporting spectacle on August 29th when the Guernsey Marathon returns.
As well as offering access to the Channel Islands, Condor Ferries provides links to France via its
ferries from Portsmouth to St Malo and Cherbourg.
