Experience Aste Nagusia on Bilbao ferry trips

Ferries to Bilbao could prove popular with people who love a good party this month as the city in northern Spain hosts its annual Aste Nagusia festival.

This vibrant and exciting celebration of Bilbao's Basque heritage will be held at various venues around the city from August 15th to 23rd.

People interested in attending the event can catch ferries to Bilbao from Portsmouth with P&O Ferries, with departures from the UK port every three days.

Highlights of the Aste Nagusia festival include strongman events, free live music concerts, parades and fireworks displays hosted by a different nation every night.

More than 100,000 people visit Bilbao every year for the cultural celebration, which is based at venues around the city including Plaza Nueva, Botica Vieja and La Encarnacion.

Holidaymakers who use P&O Ferries' Portsmouth to Bilbao ferry route will travel on the Pride of Bilbao, which has facilities including saunas, a gym, two casinos and en suite cabins.
