People planning ferry trips and other breaks in Belgium have been encouraged to head to the south of the country to visit the Wallonia region.
The country is arguably best known for city break destinations such as Antwerp, Brussels and Bruges, but it has much more to offer if travellers are willing to explore, according to Belgian Tourist Office spokesperson Francoise Scheepers.

TransEuropa Ferries passengers heading to the south of the country will find that it is "accessible and affordable", Ms Scheepers said.
"Wallonia offers … a whole range of activities in an unspoilt setting, from motor racing on the … F1 racetrack to beautiful golf courses," she added.
"For those who are in the know, the south of Belgium is the place to go."
Highlighting the other benefits of Belgium for holidaymakers, the spokeswoman said that the nation offers history, a relaxed lifestyle and welcoming people.
Sea travellers can sail to the ports of Zeebrugge and Ostend to visit the country of alternatively take
ferries to France for a short trip across the border.
