Art enthusiasts will have the chance to catch ferries to Belgium this year to visit a brand new museum due to open in Brussels.
An institution dedicated to the Belgian surrealist artist Rene Magritte will open its doors on Place Royale in the centre of the capital on June 2nd.
The museum was built to mark the 40th anniversary of Magritte's death and will bring together some 170 works by the artist, offering a fascinating insight into a career that produced a number of unusual and provocative pieces.
Tourism Flanders announced that it will be offering special advance tours between May 27th and 30th this year that will take visitors to the Magritte Museum as well as a number of other sights and attractions in Brussels.
Travellers planning to catch ferries to Belgium for a break in May will be able to experience the Festival of Arts, a major celebration of contemporary creativity that will run from April 30th to May 23rd.
Ferries from Hull to Zeebrugge in Belgium are provided by P&O Ferries, while
TransEuropa Ferries operates a Ramsgate to Ostend ferry service.
Norfolkline will launch a new Rosyth to Zeebrugge ferry route on May 19th.
