People who enjoy holidays that offer new experiences may be interested in catching ferries to France this year to visit the Jardin des Boves, or Boves Garden, in the town of Arras.
For the seventh consecutive year, the Arras tourist office has opened the gates of the garden to visitors and the attraction will remain open until June 21st.
The garden is based in a series of old chalk quarries that date back centuries but were first opened to the public in 1982, offering guests the opportunity to trace part of the town's history 12 metres below ground.
People with a passion for art will also be interested in visiting the Boves Garden as it features a number of design aspects associated with the Art Brut movement, also known as 'raw' or 'outsider' art.
Arras is located in north-east France, making it easily accessible for people travelling to the Dunkerque and Calais ferry ports.
P&O Ferries and Seafrance both offer
ferries from Dover to Calais, while Norfolkline operates the Dover to Dunkerque ferry route.
