Travellers planning to catch ferries to France to embark on an adventure holiday in the country will be able to make use of a new guide to the Midi-Pyrenees region.
France's tourism development agency and the regional tourist board have created a new online collection that gathers together the "must-see attractions" in Midi-Pyrenees.
There are a number of vibrant towns and villages to visit in the region, including the historic hotspots of Marciac, Cordes sur Ciel and Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, which have been home to painters, sculptors and jazz musicians in the past.
Other popular destinations that are worth a visit include the hilltop village of Rocamadour near the Dordogne river and the market town of Lourdes.
Travellers hoping to see some natural attractions during their France ferry breaks can head to the Pyrenees National Park, which encompasses pine forests, waterfalls, mountain meadows, lakes and other stunning spectacles.
Midi-Pyrenees is located in south-west France, on the border with Spain, and is the country's largest region by area.
Travellers can catch ferries to St Malo, Cherbourg or Caen with
Brittany Ferries or use the Portsmouth to Le Havre ferry route served by
LD Lines and head south to visit the destination.
