People planning to take advantage of the Easter break this year by arranging a Belgium ferry break can visit the country's capital as it hosts a movie festival.
The 28th Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival will take place at the Tour and Taxis cultural centre between April 8th and 20th.
A range of events are arranged over the 13 days, all of which will be based on the theme of horror and science fiction movies.
Travellers can reach Belgium by taking ferries to Zeebrugge, which are provided by
P&O Ferries from Hull and by
Norfolkline from Rosyth in Scotland.
Upon arrival in Brussels, visitors will be able to attend film premieres and screenings, retrospectives, cinema-themed parties and other events.
One of the highlights this year will be an entire day dedicated to Japanese animation, which will include a market selling all sorts of merchandise and memorabilia, competitions, anime film showings and more.
People setting off from southern England can travel on the
Ramsgate Ostend ferry route, which is served by
TransEuropa Ferries and
LD Lines, to get to Belgium.
