Ferry is a bute

An £8Million addition to CalMac's ferry fleet was launched in Gdansk, Poland, yesterday.

The MV Argyle will operate between Wemyss Bay on the Clyde and Rothesay on the isle of Bute from next year.

The new ferry, a sister for the MV Bute, will carry 60 cars and 450 passengers on the company's busiest route.

It is expected the vessel will be delivered to Cal-Mac in December following fitting out and trials.
