This year is expected to see a big summer of sport for the UK with the Olympic Games being held in London.
Anyone without tickets can still get to see the stars ahead of the event, as the athletes use the early season to ensure they are hitting form just at the right time.
The Great Irish Run is one such occasion which attracts world-class sporting talent. European Indoor 3,000m champion Helen Clitheroe is using the race on April 15th as part of her preparations for the Games.
"I'll never forget the course which, for a track runner, is very tough, particularly the back end where there is a very stiff climb," said the Team GB star.
Ferries from Liverpool to Dublin will ensure that people arrive feeling refreshed enough to enjoy the race – if not run in it – and once the event is over, visitors can head into Dublin to experience the city's famous nightlife.
