People planning to take ferries to Belgium in order to visit Brussels this year might be interested in some of the cultural experiences on offer during the Visionary Africa festival.
The event got underway at the Bozar Centre for Fine Arts on May 30th and will run until September 26th.
It has been arranged to celebrate African culture in the year that 17 countries across the continent celebrate 50 years of independence.
Travellers planning to visit Belgium for the Visionary Africa festival can take
ferries from Hull to Rotterdam with
P&O Ferries, while
Norfolkline offers a Rosyth to Zeebrugge ferry service.
Highlights of the programme include the Geo-graphics exhibition, which offers a map of artistic practices in Africa in the past and present.
Visitors will also be able to attend concerts by artists such as Rokia Traore and Angelique Kidjo, as well as dance presentations, conferences, film screenings and more.
Another way for travellers to reach Belgium is by taking
ferries from Ramsgate to Ostend, which are operated by
TransEuropa Ferries in partnership with
LD Lines.
