A combination of the weakened state of the euro and easy accessibility via ferry and train routes makes the eurozone "the best place" for travellers from the UK to visit this year, according to Caxton FX.
The company pointed out that recent fluctuations in the exchange rate will make countries such as France, Spain and Germany more affordable for people visiting from Britain.
"The pound is at its strongest point against the euro since August of last year," said Caxton FX analyst Duncan Higgins.
"By heading to the continent you'll be getting more euros for your pounds."
The company also pointed out that sea and rail travel options mean that holidaymakers will not have to worry about being affected by strikes, volcanic eruptions or any other events that could disrupt flights.
Travellers can take
ferries from Portsmouth to Bilbao with
P&O Ferries this summer and head to Valencia, which is best explored via the walking routes located throughout the region, according to Caxton FX.
People planning a trip to Holland can take
ferries from Newcastle to Amsterdam with
DFDS Seaways, while
LD Lines offers a Portsmouth to Le Havre ferry route for those heading to France.
