Travellers catching ferries to France for autumn breaks this year can make use of a free magazine that has been released by the country's tourist office.
The Traveller in France autumn/winter 2009 edition is billed as "the ultimate one-stop guide to planning your next break across the Channel".
Holidaymakers can get hold of a copy of the magazine before sailing on
Brittany Ferries' Portsmouth to St Malo ferry route or taking ferries to Calais from Dover with P&O Ferries or
Seafrance to explore the country.
All sorts of useful information is provided in the guide, including recommendations on the best cities for sightseeing, the most romantic getaways and the leading locations for a spot of Christmas shopping.
People planning to visit Paris will be interested in a section focusing on the new, trendy side of the city, while those heading off on ski breaks will be able to read about the top winter resorts in France.
The Traveller in France is available from the French Government Tourist Office online or can be delivered to home addresses as part of a free subscription service.
LD Lines recently announced that it will be offering more capacity on crossings to France later this year when the Norman Spirit is transferred to the Dover to Boulogne ferry route.
