French ski representatives to visit Glasgow |  | | | 18 September 2008 | Scottish winter sports enthusiasts could soon find themselves with more information on the opportunities for ski holidays in France following a visit to Glasgow by resort representatives.
Ambassadors from resorts including La Plagne, Meribel, Tignes, Val d'Isere and Val Thorens will be in Glasgow on October 2nd to mark the beginning of the ski season and meet tourism professionals.
The forthcoming season is set to be an important one for the French ski industry, with a number of major events due to take place.
Val d'Isere, one of the most popular resorts for people on ski holidays in France, will host the World Alpine Ski Championship from February 3rd to 15th before the Freestyle Ski World Championship comes to La Plagne in March.
Over the new year, Tignes will welcome DJ David Getta to provide entertainment for younger visitors to the resort.
New developments in French skiing regions over the forthcoming season will include a snow park in Val Thorens. In Morzine, visitors will be able to take advantage of a new half-day pass offer. |
